South Carolina has the most liberal Republican legislators than any other state in the union. Jay Kilmartin brings his true, conservative values to Columbia's very own swamp. Jay's voting record and consistent push back against the RINOs and leftists has branded Jay as a true servant of the people. The Republican Creed states: "I will not trade freedom for beneficence, nor my dignity for a handout. I will never cower before any master, save my God. It is my heritage to stand erect, proud and unafraid. To think and act for myself, enjoy the benefit of my creations; to face the whole world boldly and say, 'I am a free American.”

With a solid foundation in what a conservative should be, Kilmartin fights for all life, the Second Amendment, against crony capitalism, against all forms of Marxism being taught in our public schools. Promises made on the campaign trail, have been promises kept in the state house chambers.

Kilmartin is married to his wife Elizabeth, they have two children. Their son Ian, is a United States Coast Guard veteran and small business owner. Jay's daughter Rhys, attends Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. Rhys served as the school's president of their Turning Point USA Chapter before recently being asked to serve as student body vice president. She began her term as Vice President in January 2024.
